Background of the Study
Education is a key driver of social and economic development, and effective budgeting practices are crucial for the growth and improvement of educational institutions. In Birnin Kebbi LGA, Kebbi State, budgeting for education determines how resources are allocated for infrastructure, teaching materials, staff salaries, and other educational needs. The efficiency of budgeting practices has a direct impact on the quality of education provided in the area. This study seeks to evaluate the budgeting practices in Birnin Kebbi LGA and assess how these practices influence educational development in the local government area.

Statement of the Problem
Birnin Kebbi LGA has faced challenges in effectively budgeting for education, resulting in inadequate funding for schools, delays in the provision of learning materials, and poor infrastructure development. These issues hinder the progress of educational development and the overall learning experience for students.
